Kendall Residents Outraged Over Relocation of Sex Offenders

According to the Homeless Trust, there are more than 277 transient sex offenders registered at the intersection of Northwest 71st Street and 36th Court. Miami-Dade County officials advised them that they had to be out by Sunday. Now, they may have to move to a spot on Kendall Drive and Krome Avenue.

    Since 2014, a colony of homeless sex offenders has been rapidly populating at the intersection of Northwest 71st Street and Northwest 36th Court, near Hialeah. Nobody wants it there, including the dozens who call it home. Everyone from the Homeless Trust to the ACLU to the county commission agrees it's a public health and safety hazard.
